Gas Prices

Has anyone noticed the recent drop in gas prices? Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining but have you ever wondered how two months ago we were paying two dollars more a gallon? On Friday, it just came out that once again oil companies received a HUGE profit even during this recession. There are some obvious problems with this picture, and I think the government needs to step in and take a look at what we can do to stabilize the gas prices.

The first discipline that needs to be placed into affect for gas prices, is economics. When every other area of business is failing and oil companies are booming in profit our government needs to take control. The gas we are getting from overseas is becoming too expensive for our economy to purchase. We are so reliant on the gas from other countries they use that as a leverage for our country. We need oil, so they can continue to raise prices because no matter how high they are people will continue to drive their cars. Gas prices affect our economy in so many ways; airline tickets, bus fairs, car dealerships, etc. The government needs to start digging in our country in order to help fix the economy. If we were to find oil in our own country we would have lower gas prices, lower airline tickets, etc. but too many people are worried about our trees. The economy is suffering because of gas prices.

The other discipline that gas prices utilize is psychology. The gas prices are a mind game for the people. Why is it that gas prices change per season? The oil does not get any richer or better during the summer where every year the gas prices increase like crazy during the summer months. Then the companies try to lower gas prices to help us during the holiday time. The gas companies have us in such a mind game that American people are excited to pay $3.00 a gallon, as if that is any good. The oil companies are continuing to make enormous amounts of profit due to this psychology mind game they have the American people in.

The last discipline that is needs to take place to fix our gas prices is an obvious one, finance. The financial world is suffering more than ever right now, but what is the one line of business where they are making 15 million in profit each quarter? Oil companies. Does that not ring a bell to anyone? The finance of the oil executives are getting way to much money in profit during this recession. Some kind of research needs to be done to fix this. Obviously, there is some hidden truths about how the oil companies are making so much money and we need to get to the bottom of it.

Personally, I think that gas prices are just a game that oil companies like to play with us. Think about it, two months ago we were averaging $4.15 a gallon, now it is about $2.60 what has changed? I think a lot of this has to do with the election; oil companies want people to be happy with the outcome of the election so they drop gas prices. Its all a mind game, but they don't fool me.

Dow Crisis

In the last feww weeks have seen the Dow sky rocket up and fall to the lowest its been in many many years! This has been an emotional roller coaster for investors, and many financial companies. This crisis is only the beginning of a year or so of the financial market being on the rocks. There are many disciplines that can be applied to this crisis going on right now and what options we have to fix this problem

The first and most obvious would be finanace. Financial companies need to device a plan to where the are not being so conservative to giving out loans. The companies need to be able to assist customers in there financial decisions. The market is definitely going to be affected by the financial industry, but by being more conservative we can start rebuild the economy. A huge help would be to lower the interest rates, and lower prime. This would help people be able to make payments instead of going into foreclosure.

The second discipline I would use to try and solve this problem woulod be economics. The economy is the worst it has been in hundreds of years. Government needs to take a look at where there is room for improvement (and trust me there is a lot of room). They could go over options of lowering the unemployment rate, start programs to help individuals with money, or even go over lowering taxes. The economy is going to suffer but there are ways to make that as minimual as we can by creating plans to help the economy stay alive. The best option--lowering prices, but I dont think that will happen.

These two disciplines are only two of many thought processes that could be used to help our economy get in a better place than right now. Hopefully our government will realize that these disciplines will help better our economy.

Post 2-- Vice President Debate

Last night on just about every single TV station there live we were able to watch our two VP candidates debate on our Nation's largest issues. This debate was full of hard hitting questions and harsh hits by each party towards the other. The idea of these debates is to see the way the candidates handle hard questions, and what they are going to do to better our Country. This particular election is one of the largest elections in our history, therefore these debates are immensely important. Each part must nail each question in order to win over viewers so that they decide to vote for that party. Not only did this debate have a huge impact on the election but this debate and election is making history. We have an African American man running to be our Commander and Chief and we have woman running for our Vice President. Regardless, of what party you are a part of, embrace this history making moment.

The first discipline used during these debates, I think is quite obvious is communication. These VP candidates have to communicate effectively to one another, and the entire country. The way each candidate answers each question and tries to portray their personality through a serious question. Palin and Biden must also communicate to each other to show their defense and their ambition to be in the White House. This communication must very difficult to handle for these candidates. During an hour and a half they must completely communicate effectively to the entire country, now that is pressure. Not only must they answers the questions just as American's want to hear them, but they have to be very proper. I can't imagine having this kind of pressure for these two candidates.

The second discipline that is used during the debates is psychology. Palin and Biden try has much as they can to emotional connect with the audience to make a lasting impression. If the candidates make some kind of a connection with the audience and hold that connection that is near and dear to a voter, then most likely that person will vote for that person. The way the questions are answered are crucial to make sure they are being effective in answering the questions but making an emotional connection. You will hear the candidates repeat personal stories in order to place that connection with the viewers.

As you can see a lot more work and education goes into these debates. Each candidate has to work hard to answer the questions correctly, and make that connection. Not only do they have the questions to worry about but they need to maintain and be on top what the other candidate is going to say. I think there are many other disciplines that go into these debates but communication and psychology are the two most important.

700 Million Bail Out Plan

With today's financial market being in touble, our government has deviced a plan to help our economic market. This plan is called the 700 million bail out plan. Some people are completely for it, and others think this a terrible idea. What this plan will do, is bail out all the business that are going to be bankrupt. Although, our natuon is definitely struggling through the economic problems some people think that the answer is not just bail them out. By bailing businesses out of their financial problems, does not help the business to survive during tough times.

The first discipline I would use to help on the decision making of this bail out plan would be business. Each person needs to understand how this plan will affect the business world. They need to know where and how each dollar of this bail out plan will spent for the businesses. The business should develop their own plan on how this money is going to benefit their company and how they will be utilizing the money to make the business successful.

The second discipline that would be used in order to make sure this bail out plan is the right thing to do is economics. Although, by doing this plan we are trying to "fix" our economy, we still need to understand what the affect of this plan will have on our economy as a whole not just the businesses that are getting the money. The government needs to take in the average household into consideration. Will this plan at all affect them, or their tax dollars Yes, this plan will help save businesses but what about the rest of the economy, what affect will it have on the people.

This plan will have a huge affect on economy. The Presidential candidates need to closely look at this bail out plan and decide whether this is a plan that is going to benefit our world or not. Each person has a different outlook on this plan. Congress definitely needs to look at all aspects of this plan and make sure this is going to be the best plan for our economy.
